Welcome to the Epsom and Ewell u3a

About us

From Retired to Inspired

The u3a is a unique organisation, and it’s global

It’s open to all people who are no longer in full time employment.

Our youngest member is mid fifties and our most senior is mid-90’s !

Membership of our u3a costs just £15 per year.

We have a live monthly speaker on the first Monday of every month (except May) and entry is free to all members. Bring your own cup and you even get free tea/coffee and biscuits (don’t worry if you forget it for 20p you can have a disposable one – but we are trying to help save the planet)

We have interest groups that cover a wider spectrum than you could possibly imagine, and if we don’t currently cover your particular interest we’ll ask our members if anyone else shares your passion and set up a new group.

For members who like to meet up informally for coffee and a chat join Rosie and Sue at their regular monthly coffee club.

Especially of interest to some members is our Social Events calendar. We advertise events as they are arranged with a ‘save the date’ and booking will open on the first day of a month that members will be notified of in order that all members have an equal opportunity to book a place.

Another popular group is our Jazz group which have a live band every month (there is an entry charge for this event)

The Surrey u3a Network organises regular study days at The Menuhin Hall, Stoke D’Abernon. These cost £12 for members and £15 for non members and the lectures cover a diverse range of topics.

The Third Age Trust organises online learning events that are held on zoom and are mostly free for members to attend. Bookings are done via the eventbrite system and details of upcoming events can be found on our Trust Online Learning Events page
