The Prince Consort Engine will be in Steam.

(If we can’t run the Prince Consort Engine for any reason, we will do our best to let you know in advance)

Come and join our volunteers for an entertaining visit of exploration, discovery and learning. Visit our three listed buildings and see the four Victorian beam engines, one of which has been fully restored and will be steaming throughout the day.

You can explore the history of this iconic location, learning more about the crucial role it played in London’s ‘ground-breaking” sewerage system which continues to serve the capital today, and visit the “The Great Stink Exhibition” which shows why this feat of Victorian civil and mechanical engineering was so badly needed.
