French Conversation Groups 1, 3, 5 and 6
French Conversation Groups 1/2
We usually meet fortnightly on the 2nd and 4th Monday of the month at 11AM. We start by discussing in French things we have recently done or things that have happened, so we have a reasonably good knowledge of the language between us.
We read together and then translate collaboratively newspaper and other articles in French on a wide variety of topics and sometimes add supplementary information to further explain/ illustrate them, so they are always interesting and stimulating.
To accommodate those who can no longer easily get out and about and those who share their time between different parts of the country we have continued to meet on Zoom which also has the advantage we can easily see photos, videos, maps etc from the internet to develop the topic in hand.
In addition, we never have to miss a meeting because of bad weather or having a cold!
Group 3 meets on the 1st Tuesday of each month

French conversation 5 Group Leader Marilyn Trust – Contact
Group 6 meets fortnightly on Mondays at 1pm as arranged
This is an intermediate level group, meeting every Monday at 2.00pm. Sometimes they meet via zoom with their mentor who has now returned to France.
