We meet in the group leader’s home on alternate Thursday mornings to read each other’s pieces.
We write these pieces at home at our leisure basing our work on a set theme or topic.
At the meeting, we chat, drink coffee and then put pen to paper.
This is our Workshop mode.
The mood remains relaxed and light-hearted; to conclude the session, if time permits, we sometimes listen to a tape of some professional writing work
By this means, Andrew Motion, the former Poet Laureate has spoken directly to us; and even Prince Charles has read Shakespeare at the workshop.
Judi Dench has appeared as Winnie the Pooh.
Each August we publish a small booklet of our work. For a copy contact Gordon Mitchel
